Ashley Zafaranlou

Ashley Zafaranlou is a Program Manager at the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) where she manages the climate justice program, Board of Directors, and the partnerships with Fenty Corp, Fenty Beauty & Skin, and Savage x Fenty. Prior to joining CLF, Ashley worked in the U.S. House of Representatives where she served as the Director of Operations and Digital Communications for Congressman Greg Stanton. Before Capitol Hill, Ashley led climate resilience and sustainability projects for the Mayor of Phoenix where she had the opportunity to apply human-centered design practices to public policy and program implementation.
Born to immigrant parents, Ashley seeks to give back to the communities that have shaped who she is today. She coaches first-generation college students of color as they prepare to make their first steps into the professional world, equipping them with the tools to land jobs worthy of their talents. Ashley has also taught advanced English to Spanish speakers in the DMV area. Additionally, Ashley has been mentored by the Obama Foundation’s Community Leadership Corps, a program that empowers young people with the tools they need to create positive change in their community.
Ashley holds a B.A. in Sustainability and B.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University and has pursued graduate-level coursework at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies.
