Rihanna's Third Diamond Ball to Be Held in NYC

Rihanna to host her third annual Diamond Ball on September 14th in New York City.

Rihanna's Diamond Ball is on the move.

The singer announced on Tuesday that her glitzy fundraiser has booked Cipriani Wall Street on Sept. 14 for the third annual Diamond Ball, marking the first time that the event will be on the East Coast following previous outings in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.

The ball is the signature event of RiRi's Clara Lionel Foundation, a diverse organization that disperses aid in the form of global education projects, scholarships, healthcare, grants, emergency response programs and other initiatives. The first ball dropped on Dec. 11, 2014, at a private Beverly Hills estate known as The Vineyard, and was followed with a second in Santa Monica on Dec. 10, 2015. As for 2016, the Diamond Ball was absent from the calendar.

But it's back now, and Rihanna says she's thrilled with the move.

"New York always offers the perfect backdrop for an amazing event," said Robyn Rihanna Fenty in a statement, which also revealed Chopard as presenting sponsor. “It's a great way to celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation’s accomplishments as well as bring awareness to our mission globally. I know it'll be a night to remember!"

Something to look forward to, definitely. It will also be interesting to note how Rihanna's guest list changes with the Big Apple relocation. Previous iterations have hosted the likes of Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Brad Pitt, Salma Hayek, Kim Kardashian, Kris and Kylie Jenner, Kevin Hart and Elon Musk with performances by Lionel Richie and, of course, Rihanna.

Speaking of the 29-year-old's charitable efforts, she recently received the 2017 Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Harvard Foundation.
