Ashlee Thomas
Ashlee Thomas is Program Manager, Research and Policy at the Clara Lionel Foundation. As an International Development professional, focusing on Sustainability, Climate Change and Social Equity, Ashlee has been able to cultivate a professional space where her passion for People, Sustainability, Climate Change Action and Social Justice can intersect and build foundations for lasting, sustainable change.
Her previous work experiences include the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Oxfam America and Mercy Corps. Ashlee's professional interests include addressing social inequality, social and environmental safeguards with focus on inclusion and accountability, poverty eradication and how all of the above can ensure environmental justice.
Ashlee holds a Bachelors of Arts (BA) in International Relations (with focus on Environmental Policy) and Bachelors of Science (BS) in Environmental Science from American University. Ashlee is a First Generation American, with Grenadian and Jamaican roots. She is fluent in Spanish, volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, enjoys travel and is a huge proponent of the Shine Theory.
